The Stellaris: Plantoids Species Pack is available now via the Paradox site for £6.25 ($8.21, as per this conversion) or via Steam for £5.59/$7.99. Downloadable content (DLC) is content built by Paradox Development Studio (PDS) as an extension or add-on to Stellaris.They are modular in nature, which means that a player can choose to play with or without a given DLC by checking them out at the launch menu. Plantoid ships are actually the best looking of all official sets, in my opinion. And the pack is not purely cosmetic, it enhances how your galaxy feels with more diverse species and a lot less same-portrait species.

About the game

Plantoids is the first DLC package for Stellaris, Paradox Development Studio’s science fiction grand strategy game. It is the first Species Pack, introducing a new phenotype for players with original art and animations. As the title implies, Plantoids will give Stellaris fans access to a plant-like species that has gained sentience and begun to spread its tendrils across the galaxy, planting the roots of new civilizations on new planets.
